David Craig and his family are missionaries through Pioneers UK in Arua, NW Uganda. He describes it as a fascinating and sometimes frightening place to live and bring up four children.
"We live amongst many people in abject material poverty and brokenness but who are rich and blessed in many other aspects. Our heart is to see wholistic transformational change amongst those with whom we work, including enterprise development. I enjoy using many creative and practical ways to bring the wholistic Gospel to people and am passionate about a 3-dimensional Jesus meeting people where they really are."
David's presentation included child sponsorship, widow support (including goats and business loans) and income-generating activities such as greetings cards, bamboo pen holders, beeswax candles, and bracelets. One of the bigger projects was producing, packing and selling Hibiscus tea, which ultimately was not successful; David is clear about the issues and lessons learned.
