Dorcas founder Maria Skoyles explains how an award-winning size-adjustable dress is generating income and reducing waste
Speaker at the first Zoom Gathering of 2023 was Maria Skoyles.
She is founder of the Dorcas Dress Project and designer of an award winning dress. This size-adjustable dress was designed so it could be made in remote parts of the world where access to electricity is limited and sourcing trimmings difficult. Stage by stage training is provided through patterns, videos and online in-person to enable Dorcas Dress Project hubs around the world to make the dress, ultimately to the standard required to sell in the UK.
